ADMISSION OF STUDENTS

  1. Application for admission is made to the Principal on a prescribed application form available at the school office or can be made online also.
  2. Admission is made on the basis of written or oral test conducted at the time of interview.
  3. The decision of the Principal and the management will be final in matters regarding admission or dismissal of the child.
  4. Parents will fill in the Admission form and submit it at the time of admission along with the following certificates: Copy of birth certificate, issued by the competent Govt./ Municipal authority, Aadhar Card, a passport size photo, T.C. if the candidate attended any other school. No changes in the date of birth will be entertained. Catholic students must also produce a Baptism certificate.
  5. Admission is made according to the age of the child. Playgroup and Lower Nursery – 3 years. Upper Nursery – 4 years. Kindergarten – 5 Years. A child’s ability is also taken into consideration. Both parents must be present on the day of admission.
WITHDRAWL AND EXPULSION

The school aims at the total development of the individual through liberal and scientific knowledge through character building and physical training. Such an education inspires the student with:

  1. Before withdrawing a student from the school, a monthly notice is to be given or a month’s fee in lieu of notice.
  2. The Principal reserves to herself the right to dismiss a student who fails to make satisfactory progress in his / her studies or whose conduct in any way is detrimental to the discipline of the institution for immorality, insubordination or contempt without prior notice to the parents.
  3. The transfer certificate will be issued only on the receipt of the application from the parent/guardian and will be issued after a week.
  4. No Transfer Certificate will be issued to any student until all dues to the school is paid in full.
  5. The school reserves to itself the right to suspend and dismiss the students whose diligence or progress in studies is steadily unsatisfactory, whose attendance is irregular, who has been immoral or in cases of insubordination/contempt of authority/disrespectful towards the members of the staff.
ADMISSION OF STUDENTS

  1. Students must be in the school premises by 8:15 A. M. The school gates will be locked and all the late comers will return home at the risk of the parents/ guardians. The school accepts no responsibility if a student is obliged to return home during school hours for non-compliance with this rule.
  2. Students should behave in proper/ gentle manner on their way to and from school. They are reminded that the school is judged by their conduct.
  3. English shall be spoken as medium of communication at all time within the school premises by the students and teachers.
  4. In case a child falls sick/ meets with any accident within the school premises he/she can be helped with immediate first aid only. The parents will be informed and are expected to come and attend immediately. It is important to give the correct or valid contact numbers. Any change in the numbers should be immediately notified to the class teachers. Every precaution is taken to avoid accidents. When hospitalization is necessary the student will be sent to the hospital nearest to the school even before the parents/guardians are informed. Hospital expenses must be borne by the parent / guardian.
  5. All students are expected to take an active part in all the co-curricular / school / club activities.
  6. Avoid throwing paper or rubbish within the school premises. Use the bins provided.
  7. No student is allowed to leave the school premises during school hours/ recess without the permission of the Principal / Vice Principal. No child will be sent home even if some urgent need arises, unless a duly authorized person comes to fetch him/her with a note of authority and gate pass from the parent/guardian.
  8. No fancy hairstyle will be allowed either for the boys or the girls. All boys must have their hair trimmed above their collars.
  9. Use of mehendi in any form is not allowed.
  10. Use of nail polish and keeping long nails is not permitted.
  11. No bangles, rings, ornaments etc. is allowed. 12. Politeness in speech and conduct as well as personal grooming is expected. Pupils will be marked in internal assessment for the same.
  12. Anyone using unfair means in the examination will be debarred from further examination.
  13. Carrying CD, DVD, iPod, objectionable literature, digital watches, mobile phones, tape recorders, video games, portable audio/video devices, mass storage devices, cameras and other electronic gadgets are not permitted. The school is not responsible for the goods lost.
  14. Students are reminded to address their teachers as well as non teaching staffs with due respect and politeness.
  15. Care must be taken for the school property. Students must not write, scratch or spoil the furniture, or in any way damage what is provided for use.
  16. Students are forbidden to bring crackers, explosives, colours and other dangerous articles to school.
  17. Though the school takes care of your ward while in school, the school cannot be held responsible for any self-inflicted or accidental mishap or injury that may befall on your ward.
  18. Fines or penalties which may be deemed necessary to be imposed on the students are only to improve their conduct or to enforce discipline.
  19. Staying away from the compulsory school functions without permission will be considered a major discipline default.
  20. Applications made to this school authorities/office are to be done in a decent sheet of a paper. If done inappropriately then it will not be considered.
  21. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, bunking classes, immorality, bad conduct, will full damage of property justify dismissal.
  22. Money should neither be lent nor borrowed.
  23. In school, fighting amongst children is reprehensible. Such cases should be promptly reported to the Vice-Principal/ Principal so that corrective action can be taken immediately.
  24. Rules of Discipline :
    1. * Pupil should show respect to all teachers whether they teach them any subject or not and greet them when they meet them for the first time in the day.
    2. * Pupils should always stand up and wish when the teacher enters the classroom and leaves. If a teacher is delayed in coming into the class pupil should not make any noise and the class monitor will report about the absence of the teacher to academic in charge.
    3. * While traveling by school bus, pupils are expected to follow the instructions of the conductor and the bus captain.
    4. * Students are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both in and outside of the school. Shouting, whistling, speaking abusive language, running in the school building, insulting and throwing things at one another and disobeying in school etc. are strictly forbidden. Irregular attendance, habitual inattention to school work, cheating or any misconduct, any behavior considered by the school authority not suitable to the general good of the school, are sufficient reasons for punishment, fine and even dismissal of the offender.

ABSENCE AND TARDINESS
  1. Late arrival to school is a breach of discipline. Students who come late to school habitually will not be granted attendance and may be sent back home.
  2. Pupil who come late for school and those who have been absent on the previous day must bring a letter of explanation from their parents and the reasons must be entered in the “Regularity Record” section. This letter will be first countersigned by the Principal and then will be handed over to the class teacher.
  3. If a student stays absent for more than 3 days then he/she must submit medical certificate along with the leave application.
  4. If a student stays absent for more than 15 consecutive days without any prior information having being given, his or her name gets automatically striken out from the school’s register and if he/she wants to come back he/she must take a new admission.
  5. It is mandatory for a student to attend the school on days marked as “Compulsory attendance”. In case of sickness the matter must be notified to the Principal.
  6. Every student must be present on the opening and closing day of each term.
  7. Students suffering from a contagious or infectious disease shall not be permitted to attend the school.
  8. A student returning to school after suffering from any contagious disease should produce a Medical Fitness Certificate.
  9. Absence from the school in order to study or to attend tuitions is never allowed.
  10. Birthdays, marriages, excursions or urgent work are not sufficient reasons for absence to the school. No leave of absence is given unless applied for, in writing and sanctioned by the Principal.
SCHOOL FEES
  1. Tuition fees and other charges as per the fees structure list are to be paid on or before 15th of every month. The fees also can be paid on quarterly, half yearly or yearly basis in advance.
  2. Pupils whose fees have not been paid for three consecutive month, after due notification by the school, will have their names struck off the rolls. If they wish to continue their schooling they will be treated as new candidates needing re-admission.
  3. Admit Card for the examinations will be issued to the students of all classes only after all dues are cleared.
  4. No student detained in the same class will be given any concession in fees.
  5. Students, who are suspended from school and asked to appear for examinations, must pay their monthly fees duly
HINTS ON HOW TO STUDY
  1. IN THE CLASSROOM: Pay great attention. You will learn faster and have to study less. Ask questions what you do not understand.
  2. AT HOME: First review what you have learned in the class that day, secondly do your written work. In this way you do your work more correctly and quickly.
  3. During your study, concentrate on your work. Keep away from all things that direct you to read Comics and Play with things. Do not waste your time. Do not day dream. Keep fully awake and go ahead with your work
  4. Never omit your homework. Do what you are given in class and in the way you are taught to do it in class. It is essential that you note down exactly in your Diary your study assignment. Look through your corrected home work so as not to commit the same mistakes.
EXAMINATION AND PROMOTION
  1. For promotion to the next class each child needs to secure 40% in each subject.
  2. Failure to appear at any assessment can seriously affect a Student’s academic progress and promotion:
    1. Breach of any of the regulations of conduct at examination or indiscipline in or outside the hall or the use of unfair means, even if discovered subsequently will merit to the cancellation of the particular paper and the student concerned will be awarded a zero.
    2. A student guilty of disorderly conduct or responsible for causing any kind of disturbance in or near the examination room is liable to be refused admission to subsequent papers.
    3. A student is not expected to have in his/her possession any book, note or paper, whatsoever during the examination.
  3. A student who fails for two consecutive years in the same class must be withdrawn from the school.
  4. The reports must be collected by the parents along with their ward (in school uniform) on the stipulated day.
  5. A defaulter may be penalized through a fine/ and may not be allowed to attend the school until his/her report is collected.
  6. In all questions of promotion or failure, the Principal’s decision is final. Promotion of the children will be based on their performance throughout the year in the class tests, unit tests, assignments, oral tests, observation and terminal examination. The progress of the pupil is judged in various ways such as class work, homework, class tests and viva, project work, assessments and examinations.
  7. No pupil will be promoted to the next class if the attendance during the year is below 80%.
  8. No child will absent himself/herself on the previous week of the examination without a medical certificate. Prior information should be given in case of illness.
  9. Reports of weekly tests and terminal examinations are given in pupils report cards. Parents and Guardians should sign them regularly and follow the progress of their children.
  10. Evaluation of progress to be done on whole year’s performance and not merely on the basis of the annual/ final examination. Note : No recommendations from any person will be entertained by the school authority for promotion into the next class if the child has been kept back in the same class for another year.
HOUSE ACTIVITIES

The students are allotted different houses and clubs. Through these, the cultural, co-curricular activities are recognised and conducted. This system provides ample opportunities to the students to unveil their talents on wider platforms and also boosts the students to excel in all the fields of life. Various inter-house competitions are organised throughout the academic session. The school has four houses, named after the great Personalities/ Saints.

CONVEYANCE

The school owns a bus, the routes and fare of which can be ascertained from the office. Parents are requested to bring the children at the nearest bus-stop atleast five minutes before the specified time. Bus pickups and drops will be only at specified points. Students must maintain perfect discipline while in the school bus. All efforts will be made to run the school bus in time, however if there is any disruption in service due to any unforeseen eventuality the parents are requested to co-operate with us.
