Examination & Promotion
There will be two unit tests and two main examinations during the year. Surprise class tests are also conducted. Promotion is based on overall performance and term-wise reports shared with parents/guardians.
- Surprise class tests may be taken frequently.
- Promotion to the next class is based on the results of all examinations and assessments.
- After each term, progress report cards will be given. Parents/guardians must sign the record copy and answer scripts during PTA meetings.
- If children are sick, they should not be sent to school for the sake of an exam.
- Attendance below 75% in the year will result in non-promotion.
- Non-academic performance is also considered while determining promotion.
Important: Failure to appear or submit any assessment/assignment can seriously affect promotion.
There is no provision for supplementary tests/exams for students absent during any test or exam.
If the children are sick, they should never be sent to school for the sake of examination. No pupil will be promoted to the next class if the attendance during the year is below 75%. Non-academic performance of a student during the year is also taken into account in determining promotion. Failure to appear or submit any of the assessments or assignments can seriously affect a student's promotion. There is no provision for supplementary tests or exams for students who remain absent during any test or exam.
